The Food

Where can I find the meal nutrition?

Our meals are prepared with seniors in mind; nutritional info will be on each meal's label. These nutrition labels and ingredients can also be found on the meal detail page online each week.

What is the difference between the Basic and Deluxe subscriptions?

All of our meals are made with only the freshest high-quality ingredients. Meals included in our Basic meal box are designed to be healthy and lean, with a simpler flavor profile. Meals included in the Deluxe meal box have a more complex flavor profile and may include additional ingredients not included in the Basic meals.

How are your meats and vegetables sourced?

Our food products are carefully sourced and received each day, from the highest quality food purveyors. Regular quality assurance visits to all suppliers are made by safety inspectors and purchasing partners in order to ensure compliance.

Where is the food prepared and shipped from?

All of our meals are prepared fresh in a central-Texas location.

Can I make substitutions or changes?

At this time, we cannot accept substitutions or modify the meals in any way.

Are there vegetarian or vegan options?

Affinity Easy Eats does not currently offer vegetarian or vegan meal subscriptions. If you have a restricted diet or dietary preference, we would love to hear your feedback and requests. Please contact us at Orders@AffinityEasyEats.com.

What if I didn't like my food?

While we understand that tastes may vary and hope you will enjoy all of our curated meal selections, our subscription is commitment-free and non-refundable. At this time it is not possible to request that a particular meal never be sent to you again. However, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Additionally, meals included in both the Basic and Deluxe boxes will be posted to our website weekly, you can update which box you receive by logging into your Affinity Easy Eats account at any time. Please note, cancellations and modifications must be received by 5pm PT on the Thursday before your next billing date, in order to prevent future charges and ensure the correct box is delivered.

Are your meals guaranteed allergen-free?

We make every effort and use best practices to avoid cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee that your meals will not contain allergens.

Food allergy reactions can range from mild to severe. We urge you to use caution when subscribing to Affinity Easy Eats, as some of our meals do contain common allergens such as peanuts, nuts, dairy, and wheat. If you suffer from food allergies, we encourage you to contact us ahead of time as we are happy to address any questions or concerns you may have and inform you which meals are allergen-free.

Additionally, allergens will be listed with the nutritional information online each week.

Can I pick my own meal selections every week?

No, our meal box subscriptions are custom curated with our residents in mind. At this time, it is not possible to create custom meal boxes or make any substitutions.

How often will meal selections change?

Our meals rotate every 2 weeks. You can review the current menu selection at any time on our meal details page.

Subscription

How do I sign up for the meals?

Our meal service is subscription-based. You can purchase a subscription by clicking subscribe now for the meal box of your choice. You will need to select from one of two options - Basic or Deluxe. This choice will guide the menu of meals sent each week. You will be billed weekly.
Please note, you can cancel your subscription at any time. In order to avoid further charges, cancellations must be received by 5pm PT on the Thursday before your next scheduled billing date.

When do I have to sign up?

You must sign up or modify your subscription for the following week on Thursday before 5pm PT, if you are a new customer or want to make changes to an existing subscription. Changes made after Thursday at 5pm PT, will have a 1 week delay.

When will my first order arrive?

New subscriptions purchased before Thursday at 5pm PT will receive their first shipment the following Wednesday. New subscriptions received after this cutoff will skip a week and be received the next Wednesday.

How many meals will I receive?

One meal box contains 12 meals. If you would like to receive more than one box, each member of your household will need to subscribe individually for their own box.

Can I skip a week?

Yes! You will be able to pause your subscription by logging into your account and selecting Pause Subscription. Once you are ready to start receiving meal boxes again, please login and update your subscription.
Please note that pauses must be received on the Thursday before your next scheduled billing date before 5pm PT in order to avoid being billed or receiving a meal box.

Can I choose to have more or fewer meals delivered?

At this time all of our meal boxes contain 12 meals and cannot be modified.

Can someone in my family subscribe for me on my behalf?

Yes! Any family member can subscribe and have meals shipped to you with your community name and unit number. Family members can subscribe online or by calling (888) 808-0791.

How do I cancel?

To cancel your subscription, log in to your Affinity Easy Eats account and click cancel. Affinity Easy Eats subscriptions have no contracts and can be stopped or started at any time.

Billing

When will I be charged for next week's food?

Depending on what plan you selected, you will either be billed each Thursday at 5pm.

How often will my credit card be charged?

When subscribing for Affinity Easy Eats, you can select your billing preferences. Subscriptions can be billed either weekly or every 4 weeks. All billing will take place on Thursdays at 5pm PT.

Will I be charged automatically?

Yes, if you take no action to pause or cancel your subscription you will be charged automatically for the next week's meals on Thursday at 5pm PT or on the fourth Thursday if you selected the four week plan. Additionally, if you take no action to modify your box choice, the subscription will default to the previous week's choices automatically.

Do I need to take action to renew my subscription every week?

No, our subscriptions are designed to be food on easy mode for our residents. If you’d like to continue your subscription with your current preferences, no action is necessary each week.

Please note that if you do wish to modify your subscription, modifications and cancelations must be received by Thursday at 5 pm PT.

Do you accept any other forms of payment?

At this time we can only accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover credit and debit cards.

Delivery

When will my meals arrive?

Meal boxes will arrive each week for active subscribers, regardless of which billing preference you selected. For new subscriptions, subscribe by Thursday at 5pm PT to receive meals the following Wednesday depending on your location. Active subscriptions will also receive their meals weekly on Wednesday.

How are the meals packaged for delivery?

The meals are packaged in individual BPA-free microwave-safe trays and vacuum-sealed to maximize freshness. These are then shipped in biodegradable insulated boxes with ice, dry ice or in a refrigerated truck, based on your location. The meals may thaw in transit, however, they are safe as long as they are still cold when they arrive.

How will my food arrive?

Food is shipped to the communities via FedEx or refrigerated truck nationwide. Your meal boxes will be delivered directly to a resident coordinator or front office staff member within your community. That staff member will then deliver the food directly to your door. It is important to refrigerate your food as soon as it arrives on your doorstep. Please note that Affinity Easy Eats is not responsible for food that is lost or damaged due to not being refrigerated.

What do I do with my meals when they arrive?

Meals may be stored in the refrigerator or freezer based on whether or not you will eat them by the freeze by date on the packaging.

What should I do with all the extra time I have from not cooking/doing dishes?

Use your newfound free time to call the family and say hello or binge watch a new series on Netflix!

Reheating

How do I prepare my food?

MICROWAVE HEATING INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Tear perforations on side panels and remove label front.
    2. Place tray in the microwave. Heating time varies by meal - heat on HIGH for the time listed on the meal packaging.
    3. You may hear popping as a self-venting steam dome forms. Do not open package until dome deflates, as food continues to heat while the dome is inflated.
    4. When the dome deflates, you can remove the film. CAUTION: There may be an escape of steam when the film is removed, please remove slowly and carefully.
  • Use caution when removing, as tray will be hot. It is recommended that you remove tray from microwave using a potholder.
